What is the “Ask a Death Worker” service?

“Ask a Death Worker” was specifically created to respond to the many requests that Neshia receives from individuals wanting to learn more about her deathcare journey, how to become a death worker and if this work is right for them. Formerly called a “Professional Consultation,” this service is a 45 minutes long conversation where you get to ask Neshia questions 1-on-1 to help provide more clarity for your own path.

This is also a great place for artists, educators and other providers who are looking to consult with an experienced death worker about End-of-Life and grief topics relating to their professional roles.

Who is this offering for?

Anyone who wants to “pick Neshia’s brain” about deathcare. “Ask a Death Worker” is a great space to bring questions about how to get started in the field, trainings, marketing, networking, hands-on services, creating rituals, self-care and more. Accessing Neshia’s experience through this service honors her time and capacity while also getting you connected to more information.

Please note that this service is not for those needing personal support for End-of-Life Planning, death or postmortem care. In those situations, work with Neshia will begin with a complimentary Initial Consultation that can be booked here.

What is this offering not?

“Ask a Death Worker” is not a place to trauma dump, receive counseling or a way to begin ongoing mentorship with Neshia. The information or suggestions that Neshia provides during the session should not be construed as medical, legal or financial advice. Instead, conversations will be guided by Neshia’s own experiences of deathcare as informed by 14 years of being a part of the End-of-Life field and what she learns about you through focused attention and deep listening.

No recordings of this service are allowed but you are welcome to take personal notes. Neshia will also send a follow-up email with any resources that came up during the conversation.
