Postmortem Support

A red poppy with full transparent petals and a black and yellow center faces the upper right of the photo. It has a thing green stem and is in front of light grey background.

If someone in your life has recently died, I am sorry for your loss.

I am here to help you pick up the pieces, whether your person died yesterday or a decade ago. Postmortem death care with me always begins with sharing stories about the person or animal relative who you are remembering. We center their life even as we mourn their death. From there, I can help you:

  • Establish self-care practices to help ground you as you mourn

  • Notify personal contacts of the death

  • Choose a funeral home and/or final disposition method

  • Conduct a home funeral/wake

  • Determine what kind of ceremony or celebration your person would have loved

  • Plan, coordinate and officiate a unique service

  • Thoughtfully form plans for how to spread ashes and/or soil

  • Create rituals to help you and your community grieve

  • Navigate conversations with children in your life about death and grief

  • And more . . .

Cost: $100 an hour. Postmortem support begins with a free initial consultation, which can be in-person if located in the Seattle area.
