A Note on Using My Work . . .

Generosity is important to me. I do not want to gatekeep the knowledge I’ve gathered from my 14 years of being in End-of-Life care and I share information eagerly and with intention. However, it is also important that my work is respected and used appropriately.

Every component of A Thoughtful Death that you see - this website, the newsletter, client guides, etc. - has been written, designed and created by me unless otherwise clearly noted. Mistakes, typos and all. No part of my brand or work is done with AI. There is no ghost writer. It’s me spending hours, weeks, and months pouring immense labor into forming a thoughtful body of work that is clear and accessible.

Using any of my work without citing me, compensating me or taking it out of context is wrong. Do not use my exact work and pass it off as your own. Plagiarism is theft not flattery. The U.S. Copyright Office offers great insight into fairly using other people’s intellectual property that you can read here. And if you have questions about how to use or adapt my specific work, let’s talk. You can reach me at neshia@athoughtfuldeath.com or by phone at (206) 866-5455.

Thank you for respecting the labor of this disabled Afro-Indigenous mother and creator.
